As we enjoy the spring season, we are compelled to remember that it’s not only bright colours that reflect peace, but indeed, this is the month of peace. As some of our lovely FINITE readers might be aware, September 21^st of 1982 marked the official peace day celebration which has continued since that year.

As we were growing up, our parents and teachers taught us that the founder of the Basotho nation was a great man of peace.  And when we look back, we realize that during our upbringing, we lived through days of peace, where our parents would welcome guests from nowhere and everywhere, call upon relatives and friends for a meal or a celebration, and even extend a hand to help whenever they could.  The taught us the culture of giving and appreciating other people.  They taught us how to live harmoniously.  Peacefully.

Victory depends on persistence…

Whoever said dreams come true for those who wait was probably right. This year’s winner of the annual Miss Vodacom PC FM, ‘Nesoang Mpota, proved that perseverance pays when she won the pageant after two unsuccessful attempts. Finite reporter Makhozi Foko got up close and personal with the newly crowned queen.
